About my appointment:

i had granulation tissue which has been catheterizated, sore right ovary side, bleeding during internal examination, awaiting for scans, got prescription for Norethisterone for 10 days to come back to normal period, advised to do blood test - LH, FSH, testosterone, FAI, SHBG in 1st day after finishing period (because of my irregular periods and pelvic pain) and to stop taking oral contraceptive pills, tranexamic acid, mefenamic acid ..... it looks as something serious i think.

I still feel pelvic pain after internal examination

i got an appointment letter to gynaecology clinic - my appointment has been arranged for Thursday 4th February 2010 at 3 pm in Preston Hospital with my consultant.

but if they find something seriously when get results from laboratory - they schedule earlier appointment for me then.

for this time i have to do blood test when i get normal period and have to go in 1st - 3rd day of cycle to do this blood test then in hospital.

hi,

i started bleeding again on Saturday (5th December) and this bleeding is heavy and painful - painkillers don't work for me, can't take tranexamic acid for now as i need to start with Norethisterone and can't use tranexamic then. don't know how to fight with the pain - hope i get answer from GP tomorrow.

Hi all,

i got letter form hospital today.

On the examination I had a BMI of 26 and i have put 10 kg in weight in the last 2 months. The abdomen itself was soft but tender in the lower abdomen with no guarding or rebund and no masses palpable. Vulva an vagina had a normal appearance. The cervix had a typical post LLETZ appearance, the endocervix was visible but appeared healthy. There was a small amount of granulation tissue at 9 o'cloc at the squamocolumnar junctin. It has been cauterised with Silver Nitrate. The uterus itself was anteverted, tender but doesn't feel very mobile. There were no adnexal masses. Triple swabs have been taken.

Doctor prescribed me some Norethisterone for 10 days and advised me that i will have a withdrawal bleed afterwards. At this stage i have to do a hormone profile and androgen profile. Consultant also organised an ultrasound scan of the pelvis and has arranged to review me in 2 months with the results.
When i come back to clinic, depending on the results of the ultrasound doctors may consider laparoscopy +/- hysteroscopy and biopsy.

Hi Lorraine,

i feel ok sometimes but my pains are coming and going - i feel i have tender lower abdomen and it is hard in touching. My Polish gynae wants to see me when i will be in Poland - probably he wants to check what kind of pains i have and where. I tried to describe him my pains very well - probably he wants to check it again.
My birthday wasn't so bad but pain didn't let me forget about my illness for a moment. I had to stop working for a few minutes to feel better.
I have something like that sometimes - but more often than it was before.

I started to check what hormones in blood test mean - in the most when something will be wrong - it can be ovarian tumour, ovarian cyst, endometrial tumour, PCOS, endometriosis.
I'm afraid what i can hear from doctors after taking biopsy - i am not afraid the peration as much as biopsy results.

I want to wait for doctors decision now and don't want to tell my mum anything - i can tell her i have op because when i tell her about biopsy she will be stressed and makes me stressed too.

I try to write something more after appointment with gynae in Poland which i have 29th December.

I hope you are strong still and i know it will be hard for you at Christmas time but remember that Kirstie will be with you all together in this day. She is in your hearts and will be there forever. She knows what we are doing all the time and she tries to help in other way all the time and be in the place where you are.
Hope it helps you to feel a little bit better - i know it is not the same as she was here but i think she doesn't want to see you sad.
