Claire Walker Everett's parents on This Morning
Claire Walker Everett was just 21 when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer - four years too young for the smear test that could have given her that all-important early warning. Sadly, on 18th September 2008, Claire lost her battle against the disease and died at home in her mother's arms, aged just 23. Help Pages www.jotrust.co.uk www.nhs.uk/hpv During her final 18 months Claire campaigned tirelessly to see the age for smear testing dropped from 25 to 20, determined that other young women would not suffer as she did. Now, after her tragic death, her parents Bob and Lyn have taken up her campaign, and are set to take their petition to Downing Street, hoping to get the full backing of the government.
